This Week's WHY ( $100 weekly prize money )

WHY do Nigerians complain endlessly and whisper very loudly amongst themselves about their pitiable lot and condition brought about by corruption, mismanagement and outright disdain that the so-called politicians have for the citizens, yet NEVER actually do ANYTHING about confronting these Poli-TRICK-cians and making a stand for good? Instead they largely go about seeking handouts and song-praising these same people! Are Nigerians cowardly by nature, averse to confrontation regardless of personal cost or actually really satisfied with their lot and condition?

Virtually every race on the planet envies the skin tone and properties of the black Africans. The caucasians spend a lot of time and money on wanting to gain a tan. They envy the black skins ability to age very well and gracefully...so WHY do we have black people especially women (but increasingly men) actively seeking to change the colour of their skins to a much lighter cauacasian-like hue, usually with the aid of crude and dangerous health threatening chemical creams- popularly known as 'Bleaching'? What is responsible for this mentality? Or are lighter skinned black people more attractive than the darker skinned one? Isn't black beautiful anymore?

The President disappeared 3 months ago from public view, and it would seem NO ONE has seen him since then; not the Legislative Arm, not the PDP Chieftains; not his Personal Private Secretary...NO ONE apart from his wife, Turai and ADC (if we are to believe that even). This has been put down to his wife refusing ANY Access to him. WHY would the President of a country be blocked from access to his constituents by his wife?? Is this constitutional? Isn't Yar'Adua OUR President as much as he is Turai's Husband? Why have Nigerians not condemned this very loudly?

President Yar'Adua has finally returned in a cloak and dagger operation inside an ambulance....but No one has seen him. Not even the Acting President. It is rumoured he has been in an ambulance on the grounds of the Villa since his arrival! Who ordered the mobilisation of the 300 troops who carried out the operation. Was our President deported from Saudi Arabia?? WHY does there seem to be a parallel power structure in Aso Rock? What is all the secrecy about the true condition of our President? Was he deported from Saudi? How long will Nigerians continue to endure these indignities and assaults without action?
